ALTERED CANVAS!

I have enjoyed Clare LLoyds new work on Paperartsy and decided to do my version of altered canvas.

I prepped an 8x8 canvas with Snowflake fresco and grunge pasted clouds in the sky through a stencil.
I colour washed the sky with Sky fresco and dabbed with a baby wipe to create a mottled effect.

I then colour washed the grass with a mixture of Hey Pesto and Limelight. I printed a little grass with the edge of card and stamped the curved ruler stamp in olive archival to outline the hills.

I wanted to get different sizes of houses so I photographed my stamped image and printed it onto tissue paper in different sizes from my computer.
I painted the houses in Beach Hut, Smoked Paprika and London bus and added some doodling.
I printed dragonflies, painted in beach hut and attached to wire which I curled. After a little bit of Stickling I attached the flies to the house.
Finally I stamped and enlarged the sentiment , colour washed and glued to canvas.
All the stamps are from Squiggly inks.
Thanks for looking.
