I was inspired by Sue Butler's splendid sunset over on Country View Crafts challenge blog and it said, if you have no stamps and dies to create a scene, then try to do one yourself....and I thought....I never thought of that!
So, I found a photo that I took from my living room window in February and had a go replicating it!

I washed my journal page with water and very freely added some washes of Paperartsy frescos in Tango, Rose, Zesty Zing and Sky!

I didn't faff around like I usually do, just went for it!
Next I used a Stabilo black Aquarelle pencil and just drew and scribbled the trees. Then framed it with loose lines. Surprised myself a bit!
Am entering this into the Country View Challenge.

  1. Wow, Hazel! I so love those tree silhouettes! This is gorgeous! You're on fire - rather like the sunset, except you're more of a sunrise! xx

  2. Not surprised here Hazel, your drawing skills are amazing. Love your sunset and tree silhouettes very much:-) xxx

  3. So pretty Hazel! Love how free all the paints are and they've blended perfectly for you Xx

  4. Magnificent, Hazel. Your sunset sky is lovely, and the tree silhouettes are absolutely stunning... I'd buy that as a stamp in a heartbeat!
    Alison xx

  5. Beautiful painting Hazel. Love
Didn't realise that you didn't need to use stamps

  6. Hazel, so sorry to be late, but I wanted to tell you congratulations on your win at Country View Challenges with this beauty! It comes as no surprise your art was chosen! Beautiful!
