Joie de Vivre

Here's a journal page that I created during my time offline when the dreaded tree fell onto our phone line.
I was fortunate enough to attend a couple of Dina Wakley's classes recently and this work was inspired by her class on composition.
I started with a couple of strips of newsprint; stencilled some crackle medium through an alphabet stencil; made bold brushstrokes using Silks; printed with string; printed Joie de vivre; sprayed mica inks; printed with lids and splattered some watered down paint.
The stamp on the tag is a recent purchase from Paperartsy.
Really enjoyed playing in this relaxed style!

Love your journal page Hazel.. lots of tricks & techniques you managed to incorporate into a really nice uncluttered page.
